I.G.S.M.A. CONTEST

















On SATURDAY, MARCH 12th, the M.M.S. Symphonic Band will be participating in the Illinois Grade School Music Association (I.G.S.M.A.) Band Contest.  This event is mandatory for all band students, and will count towards their band grade.  As the contest gets closer, it is extremely important that everyone is attending Advisory rehearsals and their lessons.

The band members will arrive at MMS at 10:30 am and meet in the band room wearing their complete M.M.S. uniform (blue jacket and black pants), with a white collared shirt.
BLACK SHOES AND BLACK SOCKS ARE REQUIRED!

10:30 am – Arrive MMS
11:00 am – Load buses
11:30 am – Arrive GJH
12:00 pm – Warm-Up
12:25 pm – Leave Warm-Up
12:30 pm –  PERFORM!
12:50 pm – Leave Stage
1:00 pm – Load buses
1:30 pm – Arrive MMS









For the parents who will be attending the event, we can really use your help as chaperones!  We need adults to watch the homeroom, help with the set-up, etc.  See map below with directions:
